Methods: In this community- based study, arbitrarily chosen male members of the observant Jewish community that abide by the traditional laws of purity were approached. If they recalled pain associated with “shiduch” dates they were posed a number of questions regarding this condition.

Twenty cases were located. Age at wedlock ranged between 21-31 years old. 70% reported pain of the testes of intensity between 4-8 on a vas 1-10 scale.The suffering lasted between 1hour to 12hours. 62% were never knowledgeable of this condition and the same proportion failed to receive adequate reassurance from the being they consulted with.

Widespread word of thisl condition is necessary accompanied by further study to examine treatment or suggested conduct to prevent its occurrence.
